SecuGen to Showcase U20™ & SDA04PX™ OEM Fingerprint Sensors at CES
Santa Clara, California (December 16, 2014)
SecuGen Corporation is pleased to announce that it will be showcasing its two newest low cost, high quality OEM fingerprint sensors, the ultra-compact U20 and the serial interface SDA04PX, at the upcoming 2015 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The U20 USB fingerprint sensor is both FAP 20 Mobile ID and PIV certified by the FBI and has been added to the FIPS 201/PIV Approved Products List (APL) by the General Services Administration (GSA). The SDA04PX fingerprint sensor is intended for those situations where a host USB port is not available. The SDA04PX connects to a system via a serial interface. It is fast, has a high storage capacity of up to 10,000 fingerprint templates, and is easy to integrate.
SecuGen products have long been known for capturing high quality images, being very rugged, as well as being affordable for use in large deployments. The U20 is very compact while retaining the ability to capture high quality images. The small size will allow the U20 to be integrated into hardware products where space is at a premium such as handheld devices. The SDA04PX can be integrated with hardware products requiring the use of a serial interface. It can register, match, and store fingerprints on its own and is identical in size to SecuGen’s “SDA” family of OEM sensors but is available at a new lower price.
SecuGen’s products are offered worldwide through an extensive network of reseller partners.
Dan Riley, Vice President of Engineering for SecuGen said, “Fingerprint sensors are being deployed in increasingly diverse environments and must be able to capture great images time after time without any degradation. We are very excited to be offering very high quality devices in a variety of form factors.”
Won Lee, CEO of SecuGen added, “We are working every day to provide the world’s best optical fingerprint technology. We are always looking for ways to provide our partners with state of the art products and tools. We are excited about our ability to offer these small yet very high quality OEM sensors to our partners around the world.”
These low cost, high quality OEM fingerprint products are available for purchase immediately. Visit SecuGen at South Hall 4 – booth 36821 at the CES show in Las Vegas, Nevada, from January 6th through the 9th.
